PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

YOUR FUTURE, ON AND OFF THE PITCH

Our inclusive post-16 Football and Education Programmes encourage every student to stay in education and complete a university recognised course, all whilst pursuing their passion for football.

This education environment, partnered with a structured football programme, provides each student with an invaluable structure to help them develop, and ensures there is no compromise on educational potential.

Our success stories show that 97% of our participants graduate in to higher education or employment.

YOUR FUTURE, ON AND OFF THE PITCH

  • ENVIRONMENT

Provide aspiring footballers with the best environment, opportunities and platform to develop their game and play at the highest standard possible

  • EDUCATION

Utilise the passion young people have for football to promote excellence in education

  • EMPLOYABILITY

Support the holistic development of each individual to create successful, well rounded and employable young people

KINETIC ACADEMY

Our flagship post-16 programme, the Kinetic Academy, engages boys and girls in education through football, tapping into the potential of athletes from London to capitalise on their passion for the sport as a vehicle for social change.

The programme is run in partner schools, including eight Harris Academy sites and the City of Westminster College. We provide aspiring footballers with access to a high quality education whilst pursuing their passion for football.

Each school has a dedicated Kinetic School Liaison Officer, who is responsible for the cohort in their school as well as supporting the wider team with PE and pastoral duties. These allows them to have a full picture and understanding of the young person's education as well as their training on the pitch.

Football training is delivered by UEFA and FIFA qualified coaches, with training taking place 3 times a week, and games played weekly.

KINETIC FUTURES

Our high-level football sessions are complemented by the Kinetic Futures , a two year structured educational programme focused on employability and personal skills to support our graduates in finding their futures outside of the professional game.

SUCCESS STORIES ON THE PITCH

  • Joe Aribo

    Midfielder

    Southampton FC

Joe Aribo became the 10th Kinetic graduate to be signed by a pro club after he penned a one-year deal with Charlton Athletic in 2015. After 4 years, he made a move to Rangers, where he played 57 games, scored nine goals and assisted 10. That same year, Joe was also called up for the Nigerian national team. Since Since 2022, he’s been playing, and scoring, for Southampton FC.

  • Kwadwo Baah

    Forward

    Watford

Kwadwo joined Kinetic upon his release from Crystal Palace’s academy. He thrived on the programme, trialling with Fulham. Upon graduation, he signed a professional contract with Rochdale, where he remained for two years before signing for Watford in 2021. The same year, he made his debut for England U18s, before swapping to represent Germany’s U19s.

  • Reggie Rose

    Goalkeeper

    Brentford FC

After joining Brentford Under-18s from Kinetic on a six-month professional contract in February 2023, Reggie has risen through the ranks to become a staple of the Brentford B squad. Now into his third year at Brentford, he continues to develop and thrive. We can’t wait to see where the journey takes him!

SUCCESS STORIES OFF THE PITCH

  • Mothibi Penn-Kekana

    Sustainable Investing

    BDT & MSD Partners

Mothibi joined Kinetic after years in academy football to focus on his education. In 2017, he graduated with stellar A Level results, and wanted to progress into further education. We helped him realise that studying in America as a student athlete on a scholarship was an option; he was subsequently offered a $300,000 bursary at Ivy League Dartmouth. Since, he has thrived at Goldman Sachs before moving to BDT & MSD Partners.

  • Raphael Kofi Antwi

    Marine & Cargo Broker

    Howden

Raphael was released from a Premier League academy before joining Kinetic at 16 to continue his football and education. In our academy, he realised his future path lied off the pitch. He eagerly participated in our Futures programme, focused on employability and entrepreneurship, as well as the mentoring scheme. Following work experience with Unilever, he graduated and secured an apprenticeship with Howden.

  • Princewill Ogunmekan

    ICIB Credit Analyst

    J.P.Morgan

Princewill loved football, but knew from a younger age that he needed a ‘Plan B’. Even though he had success at Ipswich Town U18s, he decided to pursue a further education pathway. He completed an Accounting and Financial Management degree with First Class Honours at Loughborough University, and proceeded to secure a yearlong placement with Morgan Stanley before taking a full time role with J. P. Morgan.
