7 Kinetic Entrepreneurs entered the Howden Den for the final pitching event of the Kinetic Entrepreneurship Programme supported by Howden M&A all hopeful of securing £500 to get their business started along with the prestige of being the first ever winner of this programme... And the winner is... Khiani Shombe! The Howden M&A judges voted his business 'UKAN Tutoring', an affordable specialised tutoring company with relatable tutors on an online platform for children aged 6-18 years, the 2023 winning business idea. Congratulations to Khiani and all the finalists - Luis, Max, Dimario, Te’jean, Athenkosi, Chris, Kiyenne and David.
It was great to see our young people put everything they had learnt into their pitch from the four workshops done as part of the Kinetic Entrepreneurship Programme - Finance & Budgeting (delivered by Craig Constantinides & Josh Mansell from Levels Learning), Business Model Canvas (delivered by Anna Parker from Make Happy), Marketing & Social Media (delivered by Stephanie McLaren-Neckles from Let's Be Brief ) and Pitching & Presentation (delivered by Cyril from Aston Lark).Harry Scowen (Kinetic Programmes, Data and Impact Officer): "It was a fantastic afternoon at Howden M&A with all of the boys delivering very good presentations on their business ideas. This programme has been a huge success, much to the credit of the boys who have been incredibly engaged throughout the workshops, networking event and the finalists at the pitching event. A massive thank you to all the Howden M&A staff for their time and enthusiasm throughout this programme, and a huge congratulations to Khiani!"
