David Owusu handed Rochdale debut

After signing a deal to join Rochdale AFC until the end of the season on January 1st, ex-Kinetic Academy captain David Owusu has been working tirelessly on and off the pitch in order to break into the first team set up.After repeatedly impressing dale boss Kieth Hill on the training pitch, Owusu (18) made his first team debut with the League One side last Saturday as the blues took on Oxford Utd at the Spotland stadium. "David brings pace, hunger and unpredictability" said Hill. “We feel as though we’ve done good work with him on the training pitch and I’m really excited about the proposition of throwing him in at some point in the remaining 21 games of the season. I think he will scare the life out of opposition defenders.”At half time Owusu replaced midfielder Calvin Andrew to get his first 45 minutes of professional football. We are extremely excited to monitor David's progression and we expect to see more appearances in the coming weeks.Definitely a name to watch.Keep up the hard work David!
