An Exciting New Opportunity for Kinetic Academy

We are delighted to announce our new connection with the University of Bath where Kinetic graduates will have the opportunity to continue their careers into higher education while still pursuing an elite football pathway.Kinetic founders, Harry Hudson and James Fotheringham, made the trip to Bath recently to meet with Greg Sharp, Deputy Director of Sport, and his team to discuss the possibilities of what could be achieved and experience first-hand the world class sports facilities that the University had to offer.  Through linking together, graduates of the Kinetic Academy who wish to pursue a career in football while stull studying within full-time higher education, will have a supported pathway to apply to a highly ranked UK university. To kick off the activities the Kinetic team will be visiting Bath again soon with our U16 squad to introduce them to the sports department and the University's sports facilities.  This visit will provide our students with the opportunity to discover what Bath's football programme entails but more importantly, breakdown the stigma of how our young people view the concept of university.  In addition, we are looking forward to August 2020 when Bath will host Kinetic for a 4-day pre-season training camp, which will include use of their state-of-the-art sports facilities for a range of workshops on the sport courses available at the University and compete in some professional friendly matches. The University of Bath is one of the top 3 UK universities for sports education and rated joint first for sport science in the renowned Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019.  The university has some of the UK's top Olympic athletes as part of its alumni and offers its students sports facilities that are second to none; boasting a £30 million Sports Training Village on campus that houses sport, fitness, coaching, physio and sport science facilities all largely under one roof and is home to more than 20 football, hockey or rugby pitches that regularly host training camps and games for international squads.Playing elite sport alongside studying for a higher education is more common in the USA where we have already assisted several of our graduates in securing places at top US universities renowned for their sports programmes.  However, this is the fist link of its kind for Kinetic in the UK and we are looking forward to a successful association with the university going forward and seeing our graduates progress onto achieving greater things.Harry Hudson, Head of Strategy, said: "All of us here at Kinetic are very excited about this new opportunity.  It will provide our students with the chance to pursue a career in elite football while studying for a degree at a top-class university.  It is an incredible opportunity for our lads, and I can't wait to see what is accomplished by those who choose to study at Bath in the future."University is not for everyone though, but for those wishing to graduate from the Kinetic Academy and feel that a university path is right for them, then we can assist them in achieving this.  One of the routes we can offer our young people is through our free Monday night football sessions that will be starting in September 2019 and will included specialised goalkeeper training. We are recruiting now, so if you are currently in year 11 and think university maybe right for you then do get in touch.  We look forward to hearing from you.Contact Harry Hudson
